New skills won't do it for my, only my Necro (and the 2 new guys) use any NF skills, my heros are useing my skill unlocks from previous chapters. There are a couple of gems, like the new minnion and that crossfire ranger skill, that are interesting.
Frankly, I don't think we need any more skills, we need more playable races.

Chapter 4 will probably feature a new set of heroes, although the Paragon, Dervish and ritualist heroes will stay as Nightfall exclusives.
Although it would be interesting to see how 2 paragons and dervish heros run in pve since chapter 4 will offer more skills for previous classes.

New skills are coming regardless. That is a staple upgrade in Guild Wars chapters. Now new races are yet to be realized on the player front. They could probably easily implement The Dwarves, Tengu and Centuars. But creating resources like armor for them could be tedious.

tengu and centuars wont be able to fit the armor
you have to have things that would fit your scar patterns or your platemail
i say dwarves and a possible charr
the only thing holding back the tengu is thier tail and head.

Of course we don't try to fit human armor on another race. That would be crazy.

I want chapter four to have a whole continent in 2 different eras.
And a way to swap back and forth between the 2 times to change things like in the game 'A Link to The Past'
And more picking up items in instanced zones! Like the Scepter of Orr.
Doo eet! Please?

Personally, I'd like to see more classic Knightly fantasy, Pre seawing landscape, castles and thick, lush forests. Or stolen ideas from lord of the rings ^_^.

This seems highly contrary to Factions and Nightfall, where interviews, small previews, and other pre-release hype was beginning to leak much earlier. The official GW press release announcing Nightfall was over 3 months before launch; previews were being given to 1UP.com back in May. For Factions, the timeline was even earlier - the Factions PvP weekend was four months ahead of time.
So where is our info about Chapter 4? No one knows a theme, how it will tie into the first 3 chapters (or whether it will at all), or even any educated guesses about new features. ArenaNet is silent. Gaile gives cute noncommittal answers to keep our minds running amok, but she's not giving us much to chew on, either. They're either running a huge marketing ploy, or they aren't anywhere close to being ready for an announcement. Maybe even a combination of both.
My sincerest wish is that ArenaNet is spending the extra time making the new story arc even better than the original. However, I can't help but be annoyed and disgusted that they have given the fans nothing at all. It isn't their responsibility to keep us informed on their progress but perhaps I've just come to expect their standard of fan-company interactions. Been spoiled by it, maybe.
Point is, I seriously doubt we should be expecting Chapter 4 for a late April release like Prophecies or Factions, especially not if we are to be kept in the dark much longer. We might want to hold off on these hopes-and-dreams posts for a while yet - or at least keep the speculation over in Sardelac Sanitarium.

Its still very likely to be released "soon" (but probably a few months/weeks/days later), factions only got revealed on January 6th 2006.

2 new professions the eskimo and the mariachi xD
well speculate can be fun but dont get too attached to speculation or u might end up disapointed.
another race would be cool yes, for those who say that it is impossible i remember that the original gw faq said that so far we could only choose humans but that in the future it might be possible to choose another race.
mounts dont make sense on gw, like open cities dont. this is not wow or lineage or whatever...gw has a instance mechanic of game dont try to think that that will change.

Anet will always compell me to buy the new games due to new skills.
But a valid point is made, how long can they keep introducing new things that are as groundbreaking as alliances and heroes? time will tell.
(I think it would be freaking sweet to play as a tengu)

There's an RPG that switches between the past and present. Its called FFVIII. *lol*
Chapter 4 better have a way to gain the favor of the other gods. I'm not into straight up PvP. Balthazar can bite my butt. :P
Here's a quick idea for the new types of PvP:
Lyssa: You'd be teleported into a dungeon filled with puzzles and traps. The minimum number of players would be 4 on each team. Whoever completes the puzzle the fastest gains the favor of Lyssa. For now.
Grenth: Dunno. Maybe something like Dragon's Throat except solo and the enemies would be various types of undead creatures or maybe bone minions.
Dwayna: A survival challenge. Each team would have to walk through a course fraught with dangers like sudden gouts of flame and the team with the most people left wins. This wouldn't be a walk in the park. Attack skills would be useless and skills that make you move faster might actually be detrimental. Oh yeah...all skills would have a 60 second recharge.
Melandru: A test of skill. You'd be given a series of tasks to complete over a fixed amount of time and your goal is to do them as accurately as possible. This would be single player only and by primary profession.
Kormir: A simple game of true or false. Whoever gets the most questions right wins. It would be connected to titles. Roxxorz for someone who gets 10,000 questions right and Suxxor for someone who gets 1,000 questions wrong.

Makes me think of a type of "Big Update" they could do for us, I could imagine a minigame in Tyria where its like a Resident Evil feel to it where we are in a tiny house like farm with barracades, and swarming outside are undead orr who come in waves. A team (maybe make it 6 max) would defend themselves in the house while going outside every once in a while to pick up supplies that would keep the barracdes up, (or maybe a door that can be opened and closed by the player that can be destroyed like aspenwood and repaired with amber) and after a few waves a boss comes and you can kill em which gives you end game rewards of some sort.
I could totally imagine a starship trooperesque type game similar in elona with those bugs on marga coast and you defending a house or something like that, with a how many bugs can you kill before you die, with waves getting stronger and stronger.

Oh this is what I just came up with, checked: never mentioned before !
What if all the owners of prophecies campaign who have 'Protector of Tyria' Title, and have finished all Titan Quests were given another Elite Area other than SF. Ok this has nothing to do with Chapter 4, cuz I have already gave ENOUGH speculation on that. Ok back to elite area...THE CATACOMBS...
Remeber that pretty area in pre-searing called the catacombs, what if it is now like really crazy uber looking with pwnage monsters. And can only be accessed by the old Ashford Abbey place ( forgot the new name, its pretty long ). New armor sets and everything an elite area comes with. It would first of all get everyone who dont have GW 1 to buy it, secondly people would come back to Tyria for some more farming and gaming.
And Of course, something to do with Gwen as well...
IT would also bring population back to Ascalon area, but w/e, just some idea I am throwing out there. Copyrighted !!!
